While we're at it, how about:

1.  Avoiding blank subject lines.
2.  Spelling out words and capitalizing and punctuating appropriately - i
hate when u write like this 2 me theres no reason 4 it
3.  Avoiding 30-line signatures, especially on messages with one line of
content
