Actually, I figured out the trick.
When you go to file->New web Component, there are a few things that have to
be done.
First, be sure that you are adding the new component to the WAR thats
already there. Select it in the drop down box.
Next, do the add for the files (remember to select the root directory
first), then after clicking finish use next to skip through each and every
pain. You'll get to the alias pain and can enter one, but the servlet add
won't work unless you go through each ohter pain until you get to the last
one where the XML is displayed. Then click finish.
Now, redeploy and it will work.
What a pain! I think I'll be editing the XML file by hand from here on out.
At least I got it to work, though. Took a while ;-)
