Dear Joao, > I'd like to know if one of you has found a way-out to the fact that > EJB only supports flat transactions. Has any of you been successfull > in developing an EJB or a Java app that runs a nested transaction? If > so, how? if you are interested in such a topic, you can look at the "Extending Transactions in Enterprise JavaBeans" paper, which is available at http://nenya.ms.mff.cuni.cz/~prochazk/. Note that the concept of transactions introduced in the paper has not been implemented yet, but a small prototype will be hopefully available by the end of this year. However, a lot of things have to be designed more precisely, especially container managed transactions semantics.
