hi Vimal. Basically, there was a framework whereby you put your SQL statements
in this XML file. They acted as prepared statements. The arguments for the
prepared statements came from private variables in the bean object itself. It's
been deployed in at least one application and is working fine.
The framework took care of all the JDBC. The coder didn't have to write any
JDBC, just these simple XML files.
The info is at http://www.simscomputing.com/products/etk/. ETK is an open
source project written about a year ago when I felt there were certain things
lacking in EJB. Recently with the announcement of EJB 2.0, it seems that the
holes I meant to fill have been plugged, so ETK is not being developed anymore,
just maintained.
