I don't know if you've gotten an answer to this yet, what with all the
problems with the list. Anyway, here it is.
The EJB spec requires that all remote bean methods follow RMI semantics. In
RMI, all parameters and return values are passed by value, rather than by
reference as is usually the case in Java. So, because they are passed by
value, modifications to objects passed as parameters to a EJB will not be
reflected in the original.
