Scott,
It's a legitimate question. Most of these sites don't post prices or even hint
at a price for their products. I for one find it particularly annoying to have
to contact sales reps which want tons of information about me and my company
before offering to answer a simple pricing question.
In addition, when you work with some vendors, you find that the price is often
quite negotiable. Who wouldn't want to know what the dealer's lowest price on a
car was before buying a car?
Whether it's an appropiate question for this list is another question for which
I don't know the answer.
