Yeah, we're adding a flag to avoid ejbStore on get-methods (and the
default is to have this optimization on, since this is what most people
expect, and they go "huh" when ejbStore is called after get methods even
though it is spec-compliant *shrug*)

Absolutely. Especially a EJB 2.0 CMP one.
