Recompile your code and again make the jar file. Bad magic number error
normally oocurs if jar is corrupted.

May be this helps

Subject: Error with weblogic's ejbc.

Hi All,
I am trying to create the container classes with weblogic's ejbc utility
feeding to it the jar file with class files and deployment descriptor.
Here is how I am doing it and the error it is giving me.

D:\EJBTests>ejbc book.jar booksejb.jar
ERROR: Error from ejbc: Unable to load a class required by your EJB: Class
bytes
found but defineClass() failed with java.lang.ClassFormatError:
bookbean/Books
(Bad magic number) for bookbean.Books
ERROR: ejbc found errors

Can anyone tell me what can be the possible cause of this error. Books.jar
contains a CMP entity bean.

Thanks ,
Atul
