Chris,

I saw the posting you refer to, however I would argue that Flux and Job
Scheduler for Java are two very different products. Flux is a J2EE
software component that allows jobs to be scheduled using string
expressions that describe the schedule. It has no UI to speak of. It
is targeted more at developers looking to incorporate some basic
scheduling functionality into their applications than it is at end
users. JS for Java, on the other hand, has a user interface that allows
you to define jobs, tasks, and schedules through wizards, and allows you
to check the status of jobs, run history, etc. It is targeted more at
system administrators looking for a complete ready-made system, although
the final release will provide an open API to target developers as well.
:) Additionally, Flux does not, to my knowledge, support many of the
advanced features of JS for Java, such as holidays, job dependencies,
admin alerts, etc.
