A legal RMI-IIOP parameter should be either of java.rmi.Remote type or of 
java.io.Serializable type, but not both.  Does your class
meet this criteria?  In a pure RMI situation (NOT applicable to EJB 1.1), the 
parameter can be both Serializable as well as Remote.
In such case, Remote takes precedence over Serializable.
