to start with EJBs i suggest you to read one of the following best sellers :
"Enterprise JavaBeans, 2nd Edition (O'Reilly 2000)", Richard Monson-Haefel
"Mastering EJBs", Ed Roman : a free copy exist in
http://theserverside.com/resources/book.jsp
EJB and Java Beans don't have anything to do each with the other.
Java Beans are a specification to allow visual programming and component
development (so u can connect Java Beans from different vendors without
knowing their implementation).
EJBs are a specification for distributed objects. It defines what services
should an Application Server -or a container- offer to developers
(transactions, security, naming, ...) so they can focus on other aspects of
developement.
