right here our project is in the same situation...

So the standard is pretty clear in saying that you must not use JNI, but we
found out that e.g. Weblogic is not enforcing this, so we can go on
implementing... But still we are looking for a better solution that would be
more portable.
One option discussed is to use some messaging (JMS, ...) to another server
process that is executing the C++ code outside the EJB container.

I would definitely be interested in other option the community can think
about for this problem!
