2. I have noted the contents of it very carefully. I do not know
if you are aware of this but in teh legal world there is something called
given a false sense of security you admitted" Those who know about this
know that it doesn't mean anything if you have CONCRETE evidence.
3. My background is Real - time safety critical software
and Business Applications. Having worked in safety critical
software I have been taught to do things a little differently
than every body else. I do mostly "proof of concepts" , skeleton
,prototyping therefore I am not the one under commercial pressure but others
find themselves. my skill set include 68K, ADA,
C,C++ ,vb, cobol, esqlc , openroad , ingres , informix , oracle , vms, unix
, nt. It is all commercial experience.
4. I am fully aware of the politicals , hypocracy and discrimination that
goes on in the software Industry and it has become a sorts of part of life.

He then contacted me to tell me that he works for wipro.
This was an interesting coincidence if it were a coincidence.
at my previous employment,bytel ltd, the software was migrated by wipro from
Ingres ,ABF on VMS to Forms 4.5 & Oracle database running on unix because
the customer wanted it.
The software was sent to wipro and then received back after a year later.
I was working on a datawarehousing project in the mean time.
When the software came back I was asked to integrate an enhancement on top
of the software. Having done the boredom of coding I then proceeded to do a
unit test. I found that there were all sort of problems. I then decided to
do the thread test which I used to do on the old software when I made a
change so that I haven't made any other impacts. I found to my horror that I
couldn't do the test another words the software is completely unstable. I
pointed this out to my manager that I cannot do the enhancement giving him
the reasons for it and in the reasons the Senior Consultants where at fault
also in that what were they doing in India.
The manager some weeks later informed me that I wasn't going to be
disciplined for not having escalated the problems. The company had been
recently taken over by an American company (CSG ltd). What the manager was
saying was that He wasn't going to blame the White Senior Consultants ,
Wipro and the hundered of programmers and consultants but me. It became
obvious the reason was because I am Pakistani.
Any way I started looking for a job. The day I gave my resignation he and I
used to get on well he told I am looking too ever since we had our first
discussion.
After serving four weeks of my notice I left. One week after I started my
new Job They announced redunancied unsurprisingly because the working
software was no longer working because there was no BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE
or motivation to do things Software Engineering Way rather than the cut and
Paste Hacker way.
That company had more than four times the average turn over and now there
where some legal battle going on since the last time I heard.
I know a little about discrimination, Business Knowledge , Integrating
Business tests.
I will tell another story later.
