For 'tips' on launching the JVM from C/C++, you can have
a look in the sources of the default java launcher. (java.exe, javac.exe)
These are delivered with the JDK, in the file src.jar. (src/launch)
The exact way it is done, is platform dependent.
For Windows, the jvm.dll is found through a couple of Registry
lookups.  On Unix, you don't have a registry, so it is different.
