I found this list from a Usenet post yesterday. I thought I would pass
it along:

Drivers for Microsoft SQL server 7:
1. Sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver (ODBC - Microsoft SQL server driver)
2. net.avenir.jdbc2.Driver (TaveConnectC) www.atinav.com
3. net.avenir.jdbc2.Driver (TaveConnectM) www.atinav.com
4. weblogic.jdbc20.mssqlserver4.Driver (Mssqlserver4v70) www.beasys.com
5. com.inet.tds.TdsDriver (Opta2000) www.inetsoftware.de
6. com.inzoom.jdbcado.Driver www.infozoom.de
7. com.jnetdirect.jsql.JSQLDriver JSQLConnect www.j-netdirect.com
8. com.ashna.jturbo.driver.Driver www.jturbo.com
9. com.merant.datadirect.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver www.merant.com

I pickedup number #7 at random and was happily surprised when it solved
the problems I had with the weblogic driver (connection reset by peer)
and sun's odbc bridge (setDate not implemented).
