You can specify that a set of CMP fields are part of group. When one of
these fields is requested by a getter, the container will fetch all the
other fields in that group from the database as well and will cache them.
Next time you invoke a getter on one of the fields in that group, the cached
version will be returned, thus avoiding another round-trip to the database.
This is particularly handy for example when
- some of your CMP fields are big and should only be fetched when explicitly
requested
- you want to fetch fields that are part of the same finder query but don't
want to incur the overhead of fetching other fields just now
