OR products such as TopLink or Cocobase already do this (use native
sequencing mechanisms) out of the box and they seamlessly plug into the
server so you get CMP on top, good stuff on the bottom.

The "mainstream" vendors will catch up sooner or later as well. BMP is
terribly 80s just like C++ and disco.
