If you wish to have a portable solution for this issue you may consider
JavaSpaces.
JavaSpaces is a JINI service that provide an extremely simple and elgant
approach for synchronization between distributed applications.
It is an easy method to implement many of the issues mentioned in this
article such as:
* Load balancers: Single points of entry into the cluster and traffic
directors to individual Web or application servers
* Web servers
* Gateway routers: Exit points out of an internal network
* Multilayer switches: Packet and frame filters to ensure that each machine
in the cluster receives only information pertinent to that machine
* SAN (Storage Area Networking) switches: Connect the application servers,
Web servers, and databases to a backend storage medium; manage which
physical disk to write data to; and failover
* Databases
Unfortunaly I will not be able to cover all this aspects ( it may be a good
idea for article ) .
You can find more about it in java.sun.com/JINI or in our web site
www.j-spaces.com

Subject: Re: EJBs LOAD BALANCING
You're right - using load balancing with EJBs is container specific.
For WebLogic in particular see the following links ...
For EJB cluster support:

For configuration of WebLogic clusters:

Subject: EJBs LOAD BALANCING
Hi,
How can i perform EJBs load balancing? I suppose that is application server
dependent, but i'm not sure, therefore i'm interest in such task within
WebLogic server.
Where is possible find any kind of documentation?
Thanks in advance
Riccardo
