First, I only mentioned WebLogic to help illustrate my point about vendor
differentiation.

Second, when you say "better", you have to tell me what we're comparing it
to.

I'm not an expert in WebLogic clustering, but I believe that their container
does have this restriction.  That's because it doesn't do cache
coordination.  Because of this, each cluster member must assume that other
members in the cluster may be mutating the database, and by definition, they
won't be aware of the changes.

TopLink (WebGain) claims to have a container that will coordinate its cache
across members of a WebLogic cluster.  I haven't tested this feature yet.
Presumably, they would also offer the ability to operate in "exclusive"
mode.

i thought if  we use  clustering, we have to set db is shared that means
everytime it has to get the data from the db(so we are loosing the advantage

of cacheing) . Correct me if i am wrong
