Section 7.5.6 of EJB2.0 PFD2 provide some information about the issue.

Container is supposed to throw RemoteException / EJBException for concurrent
calls to SFSB, though with a cavat.

Hi Jonathan,

Then what will happen if muti-thread access a single
EJBObject of a Stateful Session bean in Borland AppServer?
I have tested this on Weblogic server, and it will
generate a concurrent access exception. It works fine
for stateless session Bean.

Thanks.

Gene,

I am guessing you meant to say:

In WebLogic, EJBHomes are threadsafe, EJBObjects are not.

A different answer is:

In Borland AppServer, EJBHomes are threadsafe, EJBObjects are too.

Unfortunately, I don't believe the EJB spec itself discusses this issue.
