Dear All, We have an application in which the web server is on a different machine than the application server. The web server is between 2 firewalls. In such a case, where should the LDAP server (for authentication) be installed? My guess is since we have Web server between firewalls for enhanced security, LDAP should be on the web server. Reason being, a non-authenticated user is not given access to the application server directly. If we do that, the purpose of having firewalls is itself lost. Any inputs on this will be very welcome.
