Dear, beloved, fellow Java people.

I can hardly contain my excitement. After months of secrecy and hard work
on this effort, I can finally brag to the world one of my proudest
achievements -- OpenEJB, the project I slaved on for the last two years, has
been integrated into Apple's WebObjects 5.1 and was announced yesterday!

Look here and see us listed!

What is OpenEJB?
OpenEJB is a pre-built, self-contained, portable EJB container system that
can be plugged into any application server environment. OpenEJB is also open
source under a BSD-style license. For more information on OpenEJB, go to
http://www.opene.org/openejb/

OpenEJB was founded by Richard Monson-Haefel and myself (David Blevins) two
years ago and announced at the March 2000 O'Reilly Java Conference. The
project has come a long way since then, this recent announcement is an
attestment to the project's success. OpenEJB has long enjoyed small
community of a few hundred, but now that OpenEJB has achieved its goal of
being integrated into a major app server platform, we will be now be enjoyed
by several thousands.

This is truly great news for OpenEJB and the Open Source movement!

Best Regards,
David Blevins
OpenEJB Co-Founder
