Hi,

Another helpful place to look is WebSphere\AppServer\logs\tracefile which is
an ASCII file that you can open in a text editor to view errors occuring
during the start of the admin service.

Hi,

Actually Websphere Admin Server service are dependent on certain other
services i.e IBM Http Service(web server).This should be started before you
start Admin Server.
I also faced this problem-and Webserver services are started
automatically,please check in the control panel-services section,It it is
started.
Also for Websphere installation you must be an administrator.This can also
be one reason for your service not running.You have to log in as an
administrator.
