Your J2EE platform has to explicitly support IBM MQSeries if you want to write an MDB that listens to a MQSeries queue. This may change when the JCA 2.0 specification is finalized because it makes JMS providers more plugable. If you are using WebSphere then you can expect the platform to support MQSeries.
