Here! I have some vendor-neutral links of quality for you too.

I am not recommending that you buy the book of one of the authors of
the link. That is your perogative.

link 1 -
http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/education/r-wimidlet.html?n-wi-372

This link I believe is also useful :-
link 2 - http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/library/j-jtctips/?n-j-372
Description -
How to avoid abrupt JVM termination on user logout, why double-if logic
should never be used in code that will run on an SMP system, and a javah
quirk you will want to avoid.

These links obviously make the assumption that you are conversant in
real-time and have the mind-set for small devices.

A bean is a serialsed object which implements the interface
java.io.Serializable. It is used for the purpose of housing business
methods. The Bean is then called in a JSP by the jsp:useBean
tag.
Bean can prove to be very useful if utilised purposefully
in a large & compex system.
The interface java.io.Serializable contains no methods of its own because
it is designed for a certain pupose.
