NOt to seem flippant, but the answer to that kind of question is, "it
depends."  If you have a 2.0 container and can send messages, I'd prefer
thatapproach because it's more flexible.  If you don't have a 2.0 container, or
you need to I/O on massvie objects (like one customer I've worked with), then I
recommend having an object outside the container do the actual I/O for you, wiht
your EJB just serving as a controller.
