RMI-IIOP is said to has some disadvantages on the areas like *Security, *Transactions etc. Could anyone explain how to select the appropriate technology framework when transferring Objects between the client side and EJB Server? What advantages/disadvantages do the other techniques like XML-RPC and "Front Controller Servlet Pattern" over RMI-IIOP? What is the criteria for decision?
