In the sort you need BMP when you are using a none JDBC storage system. Our product supports millions of users, with hundreds of millions of objects and no database in site. I am able to code this and it is successfully  deployed in Jboss-3.0 and Weblogic 5.1 ( havent tried it with weblogic > 6.0) . I know its againist the specification , but think of it , In all situations , i dont think there will a possiblity of all the fields to be managed by the bean .  So , why do we need BMP at all , if this is possible .
