To me it is all down to the fact that Microsoft paid
for the benchmark. With Microsoft's well known and
documented history of being duplicitous, it simply
tranishes what may have otherwise been a legitimate
benchmark. (Remember the fictional girl switching
from Mac to Windows, and what about the video
presentation given to DOJ that was made up of splices
from different films...)

It is also very reminescent of the Mindcraft benchmark
Microsoft paid for a few years back pitting Linux
against Windows 2000 and it was the same deal all over
again.

There were a a huge number of issues that popped up in
the way that Linux was configured and the whole thing
could be summarized as A) Microsoft got what they paid
for and B) The Mindcraft people did not know what the
hell they were doing with Linux.

I am not sure what Mindcraft is doing now, but I am
sure we do not hear much from them anymore. I hope
this does not happen to TSS, but once you sell your
soul to Microsoft, it is a steep price to buy it back.
