No, We are not using Entity as I told. They are simple inserts/update etc.

I would suggest that you stick to entity beans. Coz since you are using EJB
so your requirement must be of distributed application and architecture.
Though entity beans is less efficient than session beans, but it is more
stable in terms that less errors come, since you shall be writing more
complex  logic, why you want to take the head ache of handling everything
urself, which the container can help you in.
If some problem comes or code is buggy, ur PM is gonna hold you not session
beans ;).
