hi,

we will use this pattern when we want to make our beans independent of the
database. If u don't know exactly which database  u r going to use in
application then u will use this pattern. U can get the interface to the
instance of the database type of object (ex: oracle, sql server etc.)  from
the factory depending upon the requirement. U can set which database u r
going to use using the properties file (.java) . refer to the petstore 1.1.2
version.
