You can use this tag to capture HttpSessionEvent such session destroyed,
session created, etc. We had used this tag to capture log out event - we
had a requirement that user should be logged out if session is in active
for pre-determined time.

Hi,
While deploying the J2EE application, deployment descriptor of the
wer file (web.xml) gives the option to declare the listener classes for
events. However, it does not give the tag to specify that for which
event , which is the event listner. I mean that no where we can define
the mapping between the events and event listeners. My second doubt is
regarding defining our own events other than the servlet context and
session objects related events. Can we define our own event types?
Any documentataion related to this will be of great help!
Thanks & Regards,
Manoj Kumar.
