AFAIK, create(...) should be rolled back. The main difference is that in your previous examples, UPDATE statements were issued, and in create(...), INSERT statements are. Which RDBMS are you using? I assume you're using Weblogic 7, too. I also assume your beans are CMP, and that you're not using CMR and setting those relationships in ejbPostCreate(...)... that could be an issue too, but I'm afraid that the problem here is the RDBMS.
