We Tried using the JMX option and found it had some severe limitations, one of them being you cant schedule cron jobs or jobs scheduled To run a year from now. We used Quartz from sourceforge and It worked perfect. I highly recommend it if you don't have infrastructure constraints.

We are using wls 6.1. I have gone through the reference material on bea site and it seems that there are many performance related issues with the current implementation. Has anybody implemented Scheduler using JMX APIs?
