Hi All,

I have been experiencing recurrent segfaults and freeze-ups (kill -9ers)
using Ekiga on Ubuntu Fiesty (9.04). I used it extensively with Intrepid
(8.10) without any issues. The only think that may be slightly unusual about
my setup is (a) I use Pulseaudio with Ekiga (I like the ability to not have
locking issues with music players etc) and (b) I have a wireless USB
headset. When I first upgraded I had some issues with pulseaudio crashing,
which I suspect was related to delay/timing issues with the USB headset - I
upgraded to a more recent pulseaudio and have not had subsequent pulseaudio
crashes since then. Ekiga has still crashed and frozen and appears
unaffected by the pulseaudio upgrade. Sometimes it crashes on the first call
after startup, and sometimes it lasts several (long) calls without a
problem.

Hence, I downloaded the latest trunks for ptlib, opal and ekiga and compiled
them all with debug support and captured a debug log (attached). To
reproduce I simply connected to a remote SIP conference extension (I have
obfusicated IPs and domains to protect the innocent).

If anyone has any ideas/patches, or would like me to perform further tests
please let me know.

Thanks!
- Owen

PS. I had one issue with the instructions at
http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Compiling_Ekiga - I needed to use "debug
make" for opal (as with ptlib), otherwise when compiling ekiga after a
(successful) "./autogen.sh --prefix=/usr --enable-opal-debug" it exits
with "/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lopal_d".
