1. ekiga itself has an alpha port (the installer still sucks) ; 2. no, you don't need to register anywhere ; 3. any decent SIP software will be able to register to an account somewhere, and you'll be able to call them there ; or you can use their IP address directly if you want ; 4. if your username on ekiga.net is "jean.basile", then they just have to call "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" while you are registered there.
