I've recently installed the x86_64 Fedora 6 kernel (I have an AMD Athlon
Pro 64 processor). Believe it or not, all my ALSA problems have
disappeared and Ekiga and everything else that uses ALSA is working
great now.

It shouldn't matter if you run the standard 686 Fedora on a 64 bit
processor, but in this case, it solved all the ALSA problems and a few
others too.

I thought I might pass this along to all the other Fedora users.

Weird, but true :)

George
