But ekiga is not focused on high quality but reliable communication, so it can be possible that some frames are dropped are pixel not refreshed. For conferencing it's hard to find better then what H264 video conference offers. So yes I think ekiga is one of the most suitable for this use. Then again you can set the quality and frame rate of the communication and so find the best result for you project.
