Thanks. That's helpful. Initially it wouldn't write the debug file, as ekiga was already running. Couldn't quit from the running instance so I had to kill it. Restarting from ekiga -d 4 > output.txt 2>&1 caused to immediately register the two ekiga accounts. Problem solved :) Don't know how, but thanks for your interest and help.
