Yes, that was necessary, thanks!

If you receive No common codec or you do not hear him or viceversa, you might need to enable PCMA/PCMU, since they are usually used by phone networks.

I now enabled only G722, G7221, AMR-WB, Sil, Speex voice codecs,
since that all calls ring, seems to work.
Thank you!

You still are hit by the same problem:
2015/06/05 21:15:01.153 0:32.151 Pool:0xa48e8b40 SIP PDU is
likely too large (1655 bytes) for UDP datagram.

Disable several audio codecs too.

I just enabled video codec h261, all others are disabled.
Once the phone ringed, but in all other cases it
did not, and said
"machine on the other side is offline"

Trace attached.

Thanks in advance.

The error is at:

2015/06/05 08:21:43.303 0:31.388 Housekeeper:0xada92b40 SIP
PDU is likely too large (1926 bytes) for UDP datagram.

This is a known limitation of ekiga, which I think is fixed with
current development code (not yet released).

The workaround is to check off some video codecs, such as H264, H263,
..., so that the packet is below about 1500 bytes and try again.

Eugen

Hi,

I registered at ekiga.net, calls to sip:[email protected], and
sip:[email protected] work fine.

I added sip.freevoipdeal.com to my providers, it appears
"registered" in the gui.

When I try to user it, that is I call my own telephone number:
sip:[email protected], then I get back:
machine on the other side is offline

I also tried
sip:[email protected], the same result.

How to call myself correctly using ekiga?

Thanks in advance.
