*Bangladesh Open Source Network Celebrates Pohela Boishakh*
Wikipedians and other members of Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) have urged all to start using Open Source Software and enrich Bangla Wikipedia while celebrating Pohela Noboborsho. A number of BdOSN activists gathered on the eve of the New Year in front of Dhaka Public Library from 10 am to 12 pm with these slogans on banners and festoons. People around showed great interest about the event and they were served with information o Open Source, Bangla Wikipedia etc. A special leaflet has also been published to mark the day. The event was concluded with a grand rally in TSC and nearby streets. Lots of people celebrating there showed great interest and participated the rally. Among others there was present Munir Hasan, GS, BdOSN, Mahey Alam Khan, Omar Shehab, Fahim Islam, Ferdous Ahmed Tanin, Belayet Hossain, Ayub Sorkar and Rashid Naim. Activists of Chittagong Open Source Network also gathered in front of DC Hill with the same spirit and motto. The day long program included advocacy on Open Source among the common people. Most encouragingly, the English Wikipedia has given the article on Pohela Boishakh as the rare status of Featured Article on the very first day of Bangla Year.
