Dear all: Thanks to the fantastic work of Nathan D. McKinley, ElastiCluster has now gained the ability to pause and resume clusters!
The initial implementation works on Google Cloud, where a cluster can now be paused (so you cut down on resource costs) and then resumed in few minutes. Other providers will be added later on. We are still testing what cluster types need special care to resume correctly: please test and report issues on GitHub and/or this mailing-list.
