For Java, should be something like this:

          DeleteIndexResponse deleteIndexResponse = new 
DeleteIndexRequestBuilder(client.admin().indices(), 
INDEX_NAME).execute().actionGet();
          if (deleteIndexResponse.isAcknowledged()) System.out.println( 
"Deleted index" );

Generally, setting the file descriptors to 65535 should suffice. You can
