You should be able to use the input type to direct log events to specific
indexes. For example:
input {
file {
type => "unixlogs"
path => "/var/log/UNIX/*.log"
}
}
output {
if [type] == "unixlogs" {
elasticsearch {
host => "localhost"
index => "unix-%{+YYYY.MM.dd}"
}
}
}
