usually parent field is updated using
POST /dsdemo/content/child11787?parent=parent1

instead of this can we try to update parent like this
POST /dsdemo/content/child11787
{

"body": "This 111 could be huge #14",
"parent":"parent1"
}
or may be
POST /dsdemo/content/child11787

"title": "The 111 document",
"body": "This 111 could be huge #14",
"_parent":"parent1"
}
