If the issue is still open, then the feature hasn't been addressed.
When an issue is closed, you'll see the reason why that is - typically with links to the commit and also the doc updates
(in case of a new feature).
The docs are built roughly every hour so any update will be seen on the website as well (under its relevant path
current,2.1Beta or master).
