I'm using one of the 4th April 2015 build of elasticsearch-hadoop-2.1.0. Doesn't 'es.resource.write' only work for writing index? I'm trying to read several ones.
Does the connector tells user about lack of memory or is the Connection Error message a strandard message ? I will take a look at logging possibilities and come back to you. Shouldn't really matter but please try it out.
