I too suffering from same problem. my cron-job runs daily. There are chances that there is no modification or changes found ion original index. however cron-job create snapshot again on its scheduled time. which leads duplicity and restore takes a lot of time.
What if I retain only last 5 or last 10 snapshot? Will this cause any data lose anyway?
