G�nter Mauter answered that in his 3 address books he found the name of
Clemens Lachowski, Railroad Engineer listed at the Holl�nder Chaussee for
the years 1892, 1894, and 1900. The 1908 book does not show him anymore

Holl�nder means Dutch but is a name and has nothing do with the origin of
Clemens L
My 1945 map of Elbing does not show a Holl�nder Chaussee, but shows a
Tannenberger Allee which I believe. is the same. Renamed after the battle of
Tannenberg in 1914. At the end of the Chaussee/Allee is the Holl�nder
Tor/Gate. The marshalling yard of the German Reichsbahn is located
parallel to the Chaussee/Allee.
A Chaussee is normally a road leading somewhere overland to a larger town
in this case it is the old Reichsstra�e 130 which
leads to Preu�isch Holland which would explain the name of Holl�nder
Chaussee.

einzigen Lachowski finden, der allerdings in 3
Jahrg�ngen vertreten ist.
Es ist Clemens Lachowski, Lokomotiv-F�hrer,
Holl�nder Chaussee
Jahrg�nge 1892, 1894 und 1900
1908 war er schon nicht mehr vertreten.
