Hello fellow investigators,
I'm planning to travel to Berlin and Poland with my father for
geneological purposes.
In Berlin we'll at any case visit the EZAB, further points of interest
are Danzig and above all Elbing,
this last place being the birthplace of my gggfather Emil Franz
Kretschmann.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions, advices in this respect. I. e.
what would be the best time to travel (plans are to leave
around 15th of august), where to rent a car (Stettin?), what archives
to visit in aforementioned places and how to contact them.
I have some info in this respect somewhere in my own archives, but
still any further advice or suggestions would be greately appreciated.
